George Russell 2022 'First Win' Mercedes-AMG Petronas Framed Print - Brazilian GP

George Russell, the man who's paid his dues and is now the lead driver at Mercedes-AMG.

In 2018 Russell took the Formula 2 Championship, after a close fought battle with Lando Norris. The following season the Mercedes junior was given a chance in Formula 1, driving the under-performing Williams FW42. 

Russell nevertheless pout in some stella performances and earned himself the nickname "Mr. Saturday" due to his unearthly ability to qualify way higher than the capability of the car. 

For the start of 2022, Russell was given the move up to the Mercedes-AMG Petronas works F1 team and immediately impressed. Whilst design troubles plagued the team, Russell got his head down and made one of the most consistent runs in F1 history - with a run of 16 races all inside the top 5.

It wasn't until the Sau Paulo Grand Prix the Mr Saturday really shone through.

The first race win is special for any driver, and this was George Russell's.
